A note from Jared
It started with a mower and a dream.
I’m Jared Cohen, the owner of A Cut Above Landscaping & Excavation. I started this business in 2016 as a junior in high school, with a mower and a goal of building something of my own. After graduating from Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School in 2017, I decided to turn that goal into my full-time work.
The early days were all about lawn care: mowing, mulching, trimming, and keeping properties looking their best. As the business grew, I invested in equipment, learned new skills, and took on more ambitious projects. Today, that work includes patios and walkways, grading, sitework, and excavation alongside the landscape maintenance that started it all.
I’ve always believed that every job deserves care and attention, regardless of its size. The most rewarding part is seeing an idea become a finished space that a customer can use and enjoy. That’s what keeps me motivated to improve and take pride in the details.
